Wow! Another year has flown by!
It's almost time for the 2012 Reunion!

Dear Classmate,
2011 was a heck of year.
Our Reunion Committee certainly feels like a microcosm of our society-at-large, and man, were there some hits. Some of us were unemployed for an extended period while others lost close family members or faced other challenges. But one loss that touched us all was the sudden passing of Sue Savosky's husband, Mario Mercado.
Sue and Mario were fixtures at our summer reunion picnics and as many of you know, they catered our 30th reunion bash, cooking up one heck of a Texas barbecue. We were in awe that they towed their pit up all the way from Texas to prepare such a fantastic feast. This past summer, we were glad to see Sue (and her siblings!) at our reunion picnic, but it was bittersweet as we missed Mario and his great big smile.
A few months ago, we were humbled to receive a very generous contribution toward our annual reunion effort from Sue, in memory of Mario. It touched each of us and was a reminder of how meaningful our annual picnics are, and how as time passes, it becomes more and more important to stay connected to people and places that are part of our history and in a way, extended family.
This year, we're asking you to save Saturday, July 21, 2012 for our annual opportunity to reconnect and find out what's changed, what's stayed the same and how much fun can be had when a bunch of ICC grads get together.

To give our setup and cleanup crews a break, we're taking a year off from the Lumberyard site. Instead, we'll be at the Kinderhook Lake Community Hall serving up our usual burgers, hotdogs, clams, & soft drinks while you provide the sides, desserts, and favorite libations.
The donation can remains the vehicle of choice for your contributions.
We're looking to hire a DJ again, so get out that calendar and schedule the date to "boogie oogie oogie" with old friends in 2012. |
