ABOUT MY FAMILY
SPOUSE: Ted

We have three children. Our son, Colin, is seven years old. At the age of 3 he memorized the names of all of the dinosaurs in his Ranger Rick dinosaur book. Needless to say, he wants to be a Paleontologist when he grows up. Our daughter, Kira, is six years old. Kira loves all kinds of animals, particularly cows, tigers, and snakes. She will probably be a vet. Our youngest, Wyatt, is three years old. He seems to have an affinity for tools, and tries to "fix" everything in the house. We also share our home with a number of animals, including a variety of cats, a chipmunk, a hamster, and three dogs, one of which is an almost 200 pound, 13 month old Leonberger puppy.

ABOUT MYSELF
I graduated from SUNY Albany in 1983 with a BSW, and went on to several Social Work jobs. My dad died very unexpectedly in 1984. Ted and I got married in 1985. In 1991 his job transferred him to Utica, and we have been in the Mohawk Valley ever since. After we moved here I spent six years working for Herkimer County Dept. of Social Services, working with Juvenile Delinquents, and physically abused children, as well as being the Adoption Specialist. During that time I also worked on a Master's in Public Administration through Russell Sage. In 1997 I left to become a full time Mom. I recently got a Commercial Drivers License, and am driving the school bus so I can be home when my kids are home. I am also starting a pet sitting business. We are in the process of buying a big old farmhouse in the country, and plan on building a boarding kennel on the property in the future. It's a big difference from Social Work.
