ABOUT MY FAMILY
No kids! When I moved back to Columbia County in '91 my mom and I became housemates. Many lessons learned since that time, but she's a terrific lady who is very inspiring. Her biggest accomplishment was surviving quad bypass surgery a few years ago at the age of 83. She continues to handle mowing the lawn -- I hope I'm as strong as she when I'm her age!

Having lost one of our beloved cats early in '06 (our "man of the house" Ziggy), we still have his sibling Basia as part of our nuclear family, and took in a stray we've named Bibsy. (When there is a void, the universe provides...)

I'm grateful to be able to spend time with my college friend Anna and her two daughters despite their being clear across the state(hey, I can be an "auntie" and in effect, a "sister"). I also deeply appreciate my extended family of good friends that includes the ICC '79 reunion committee -- what an exceptional crew that can make me laugh so hard I cry!

ABOUT MYSELF
Since January '05, I've worked as a legislative assistant for a member of the NYS Assembly. I love working in Albany, I have an exceptional boss, and am having a great time learning about state politics and government.

Photography has become my avocation as I've been fortunate to mount exhibits of my work at venues in Columbia, Greene, Albany, and Rensselaer counties. I display black and white documentary photographs taken during several visits to Poland, Belarus, and Lithuania, where I continue to travel every few years.

I've also volunteered for many community projects ranging from the restoration of the Stuyvesant Falls bridge and the historic railroad station at Stuyvesant Landing to the creation of Stuyvesant's comprehensive plan.

Finally, I've been enjoying social dance for about 10 years now (swing & ballroom) but have become completely hooked on Cajun/Zydeco dance (think Louisiana, accordians, and fiddles). It's a blast and I've made a bunch of new friends from throughout the Northeast.
